On or about Friday, September 3rd, 2021, around 8:00 in the morning, an accident between a school bus and a pedestrian sent a 10-year-old girl to the hospital. Police from the area said the accident was reported at the intersection of Beatties Ford Road and Bud Henderson Road near Barnette Elementary School in Huntersville, North Carolina.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified 10-year-old girl was injured when she was allegedly struck by a school bus as she was walking along or trying to cross the road at or near the intersection of Beatties Ford Road and Bud Henderson Road. Emergency responders transported the girl to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the incident.
