On or about November 4th, 2021, around 9:25 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer sent a Midland man to the hospital. Law enforcement representatives from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Farm-to-Market Road 1776 in Ward County, Texas.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the pickup truck they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that had slowed to pull off to the side of FM 1776 with a flat tire. Paramedics transported the drive of the pickup truck to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, Ward County is about 255 miles east of downtown El Paso.
Police are still investigating.
