On or about Monday, February 28th, 2022, around 8:20 in the morning, an accident between a garbage truck and a train sent one individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at a crossing near the exchange of Highway 91 and Maple Street in Shelley, Idaho.
Representatives from the Idaho State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the garbage truck they were in and a train collided under unspecified circumstances. Emergency responders transported a passenger in the box truck to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the collision.
Investigators are still trying to pin down what happened in the accident.
