Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022, around 2:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler sent one individual to the hospital. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 30 just outside of Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Deputies from the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified truck driver was injured when an 18-wheeler slammed into a parked tractor-trailer along I-30. After the initial accident, one of the trucks burst into flames. Paramedics airlifted the driver of the parked tractor-trailer to the hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Sulphur Springs, which is about 79 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.
