On or about Wednesday, October 13th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Kinmundy, Illinois.
Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said one person was injured when a tractor-trailer driven by Lieonell Stahoski allegedly struck a disabled tractor-trailer driven by Rami Toma. Emergency responders transported one person from the scene to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Police did not indicate which vehicle the victim was in at the time of the accident.
Police cited Stahoski with improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to reduce speed when approaching a disabled vehicle in connection with the crash.
