Details:

On or about Friday, July 1st, 2022, around 1:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a loose tractor-trailer tire sent one woman to the hospital. Spokespeople from the VSP said the accident was reported along Interstate 66 in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Representatives from the Virginia State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the vehicle they were in was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer tire that had fallen from the 18-wheeler along Interstate 66. After the initial accident, the tractor-trailer did not stay at the scene. Paramedics transported the woman to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from the exchange with Stringfellow Road.
