On or about Friday, February 26th, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a tractor-trailer sent one person to the hospital. Investigators said the accident happened on the eastbound side of Interstate 70 in Limon, Colorado.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said one person was injured when an 18-wheeler and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified conditions. One person was taken from the scene to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. One of the tractor-trailers burst into flames following the crash.
Interstate 70 cuts east and west through the center of Limon, which is about 90 miles southeast of Denver.
Authorities are still examining the incident.
