On or about Thursday, June 30th, 2022, around 1:00 in the afternoon, a serious single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent one person to the hospital. Troopers from the WVHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 79 in Lost Creek, West Virginia.
Representatives from the West Virginia State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly veered off the side of Interstate 79 and crashed in the median a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders transported one person in the truck to the hospital after the accident, but officials did not specify if the victim was the driver or passenger at the time of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from mile marker 108.
Police are still working to pin down the cause of the accident.
