On or about Monday, April 12th, 2021, around 11:15 in the morning, an accident between a car and an 18-wheeler sent one individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on Route 147 near Ninth Street in Point Township, Pennsylvania.
Law enforcement officials said one person was taken to the hospital after a tractor-trailer and a Chevrolet Cavalier collided under unknown circumstances. Paramedics transported the driver of the Cavalier to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement.
According to Google Maps, Route 147 runs north and south along the western edge of Point Township, which is about 159 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
