Details:
On or about Saturday, May 14th, 2022, around 10:00 at night, an alleged drunk driving accident left a pedestrian in a wheelchair dead. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported at the intersection of Buckner Boulevard and Cordell Drive in Dallas, Texas.
Officers from the Dallas Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a trailer that was struck by an alleged drunk driver at Buckner and Cordell. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead of their injuries a short time after they responded to the collision.
Police have since identified the driver of the passenger vehicle as 19-year-old Juan Segura-Mendez, who was charged with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the accident.
