Details:
On or about Thursday, January 13th, 2022, around 3:20 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 30 near the exchange with St. Francis Avenue in Dallas, Texas.
Officials from the Dallas Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as they were walking down or made an attempt to cross the lanes of I-30. Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead a short time after the incident.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 30 and St. Francis Avenue is on the northeast side of Dallas.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the accident.
