On or about Wednesday, June 1st, 2022, around 4:00 in the morning, an accident between a garbage truck and a unicyclist left one person dead. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Oak Street and Octavia Street in San Francisco, California.
Authorities from the California Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a garbage truck while they were riding a unicycle at or near the intersection of Oak Street and Octavia Street. Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead of his injuries at the scene of the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated in the Hayes Valley area.
Police are still investigating the crash.
