Details:
On or about Monday, May 31st, 2022, around 2:15 in the morning, a serious hit-and-run accident between a cyclist and a passenger vehicle left one person dead. Officials from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along South Cesar Chavez Boulevard in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when they were allegedly hit by a passing vehicle as they were riding their bike along or across Cesar Chavez Boulevard. After the initial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced the cyclist dead of their injuries at the scene of the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the southeast side of Houston.
Police are still looking for the driver and vehicle that fled the scene.
