Details:
On or about Thursday, January 13th, 2022, around 6:30 in the evening, a serious hit-and-run accident between a passenger vehicle and a pedestrian left one individual dead. Authorities from the HCSO said the accident was reported in the 3900 block of Hillcroft Avenue in Houston, Texas.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified 26-year-old woman was killed when she was allegedly hit by a passing motorist as she was walking along or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Hillcroft Avenue. After the intial accident, the vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders rushed the woman to a nearby hospital where she eventually succumbed to her injures.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is on the east side of Houston.
Police are still trying to find the vehicle and driver that fled the scene.
