Details:
On or about Wednesday, November 11th, 2020, around 9:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian left one man dead. Deputies from Fort Bend County said the accident happened on the northbound side of Interstate 69 near Reading in Rosenberg, Texas.
Authorities said an as-of-yet unidentified man may have been tending to an animal in the roadway when he was hit by a tractor-trailer. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead of his injuries at the scene. The tractor-trailer also struck a car, but it is believed to have been the pedestrian’s car. No other injuries were reported.
Footage from the scene of the accident shows the Southwest Freeway (Interstate 69) is under construction in the northbound lanes, all of which were closed to investigate the accident.
Rosenberg is situated about 34 miles southwest of downtown Houston.
Texas DPS is assisting in the investigation.
