Details:
On or about Monday, April 4th, 2022, around 3:05 in the morning, a major single-vehicle motorcycle accident left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Representatives from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along West Belfort Street near the intersection with South Post Oak Road in Houston, Texas.
Officials from the Houston Police Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed and another was injured when the motorcycle they were on allegedly drove off the side of West Belfort Street and crashed into a barrier. Paramedics pronounced one of the riders dead at the scene, while the other was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Authorities did not specify which rider may have been operating the motorcycle at the time of the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of West Belfort Street and South Post Oak Road is on the southwest side of Houston.
Officials are still examining the cause of the crash.
