One Killed, One Injured in Tow Truck Accident on Interstate 495 in Milford

Details:
On or about Thursday, September 9th, 2021, around 11:30 at night, a single-vehicle tow truck accident left one man dead and sent a woman to the hospital. Officials from the MSP said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 495 at Main Street in Milford, Massachusetts.
Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified 24-year-old man was killed and a 20-year-old woman was injured when the tow truck they were in allegedly drove off the side of I-495 and crashed off the side of the overpass spanning Main Street. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the tow truck dead of his injuries after the accident, while the female passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 495 runs north and south along the eastern edge of Milford, which is about 40 miles west of downtown Boston.
Police are still investigating.
