Details:
On or about Tuesday, April 6th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left one person dead. Department of Public Safety Troopers said the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 385 and the Interstate 40 access road just outside Vega, Texas.
Texas DPS officials said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when they allegedly ran a stop sign on Highway 385 and was struck by a tractor-trailer on the Interstate 40 access road. Paramedics pronounced the driver of the car dead at the scene. A passenger in the car was rushed to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Highway 385 and Interstate 40 is about a mile south of Vega, which is about 38 miles west of Amarillo.
