On or about Monday, June 27th, 2022, around 8:10 in the evening, a serious accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left one person dead and sent another to the hospital. Representatives from the WSP said the accident was reported along SR 18 in Issaquah, Washington.
Spokespeople from the Washington State Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the SUV they were riding in allegedly struck the back of a disabled tractor-trailer in the lane of traffic. Paramedics pronounced the passenger in the SUV dead of their injuries, while the driver was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
Authorities have said the driver of the SUV may have displayed signs of impairment following the accident.
