On or about Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, around 6:30 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a log truck claimed the life of a 72-year-old woman. Authorities from the SCHP said the accident was reported in the 1100 block of Sniders Highway in Walterboro, South Carolina.
Police from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified 72-year-old woman was killed when the passenger vehicle she was in and a log truck collided under unspecified circumstances on Sniders Highway. Emergency responders rushed the woman to a nearby hospital before she was airlifted to a hospital in Georgia where she died of her injuries a short time after her arrival.
According to Google Maps, Walterboro is about 48 miles northwest of downtown Charleston.
