On or about Monday, January 10th, 2022, around 10:20 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle left one individual dead. Troopers from the KSP said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of Fallsburg Road and U.S. Highway 23 in Lawrence County, Kentucky.
Authorities from the Kentucky State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when their car was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer while turning at the intersection of U.S. Highway 23 at Fallsburg Road. Emergency responders pronounced one person in the car dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Lawrence County is about 128 miles northeast of downtown Lexington.
Officials are still looking into the accident.
