On or about Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 50-year-old woman. Officials from the FHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 77 and Highway 20 in Bay County, Florida.
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified 50-year-old woman was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly attempted a U-turn in front of her car. Officials indicated the truck may have been blocking the roadway at the time of the accident. Emergency responders pronounced the driver of the car dead of her injuries a short time after the collision.
According to Google Maps, Bay County is about 98 miles west of Tallahassee.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
