On or about Monday, April 12th, 2021, around 9:02 in the morning, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a disabled tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the PSP said the accident happened on the northbound side of Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when an 18-wheeler allegedly slammed into the back of a disabled tractor-trailer. The striking tractor-trailer burst into flames following the initial collision. Paramedics transported one person to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
Interstate 81 runs north and south through Schuylkill County, which is about 96 miles northwest of Philadelphia, according to Google Maps.
Police are still investigating the accident.
