On or about Monday, April 12th, 2021, around 7:43 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a cyclist left a 71-year-old man dead. Officials from the MSP said the accident was reported on the westbound side of Interstate 94 at Highway 25 in Wright County, Minnesota.
Minnesota State Police said an as-of-yet unidentified 71-year-old man was killed when he was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer that was turning from Interstate 94 to northbound Highway 25. Emergency responders pronounced the cyclist dead of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement.
The exchange of Interstate 94 and Highway 25 in Wright County is about 46 miles northwest of downtown Minneapolis, according to Google Maps.
Officers hope to release the findings of their investigation as soon as they become available.
