Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of one individual. Troopers from the WVHP said the accident was reported along Interstate 79 in Braxton County, West Virginia.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the pickup truck they were in allegedly veered over the center line of Interstate 79 and collided with a tractor-trailer in the oncoming lanes. Paramedics pronounced one person in the pickup truck dead a short time after the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer did not report injuries following the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 79 winds north and south through Braxton County, which is about 70 miles northeast of Charleston.
Officials are still investigating the cause of the crash.
