On or about Wednesday, March 24th, 2021, around 2:20 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car left a 56-year-old Jacksonville man dead. Troopers from the FHP said the accident happened along the northbound side of Interstate 95 in St. Johns County, Florida.
Florida Highway Patrol Troopers said a 56-year-old Jacksonville man was killed when his car was allegedly struck from behind by a tractor-trailer. After the initial collision, the tractor-trailer drove off the side of the road and rolled. The driver of the car was pronounced dead a short time after the accident. The driver of the 18-wheeler was unhurt.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident on Interstate 95 is a short distance south of the exchange with County Road 210.
State and local law enforcement agencies assisted at the scene of the crash.
