On or about Monday, October 25th, 2021, around 6:40 in the morning, a hit-and-run accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian claimed the life of a woman. Authorities from the LAPD said the accident was reported at the intersection of Grand Avenue at Gage Avenue in Los Angeles, California.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was killed when she was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer that was making a turn onto Gage Avenue from Grand Avenue. After the initial collision, the tractor-trailer fled the scene of the accident. Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the incident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Grand Avenue at Gage Avenue is situated a short distance south of downtown Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police are still looking for the tractor-trailer in connection with the accident.
