On or about Friday, November 5th, 2021, around 7:30 in the evening, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer left one individual dead. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported at State Highway 105 and Mt. Mirah just outside Stoneham in Montgomery County, Texas.
Authorities from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the pickup truck they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that had either attempted or completed a turn at SH 105 and Mt. Mirah. After the initial collision, the tractor-trailer fled the scene of the crash. Emergency responders pronounced one individual dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from the Stoneham city limits, which is about 59 miles northwest of downtown Houston.
