Details:
On or about Friday, November 13th, 2020, around 1:10 in the afternoon, an accident between a pickup towing a flatbed trailer and a car left one individual dead. Troopers from the CHP said the accident happened on Highway 101 just north of Laytonville in Mendocino County, California.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed when the car they were in allegedly veered over the center line of Highway 101 when it was hit by a pickup towing a flatbed trailer. One individual was pronounced dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident. It is currently unclear if anybody in the pickup was hurt.
Google Streetview shows Highway 101 is two lanes that run north and south along the eastern edge of Laytonville. The area is located about 84 miles southwest of Redding.
Authorities expect to release the findings of their investigation as soon as they become available.
