Details:
On or about Tuesday, October 26th, 2021, an accident between two tractor-trailers and a car left one person dead and sent at least two people to the hospital. Deputies from the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 30 near Circle Drive in Royce City, Texas.
Law enforcement officials said one as-of-yet unidentified person was killed, while at least two others were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of an 18-wheeler in the westbound lanes of I-30. After the initial collision, the tractor-trailer struck a nearby car. Paramedics pronounced one of the truck drivers dead after the accident, while an unknown number of people in the car were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 30 cuts east and west through Royce City, which is about 31 miles northeast of downtown Dallas.
