Details:
On or about Saturday, May 8th, 2021, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer sent a man and woman to the hospital. Troopers from the NSP said the accident happened along Highway 63 near the intersection with Mynard Road in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
Investigators said 80-year-old Peter Bartman and 77-year-old Judith Bartman were injured when the pickup truck they were in was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer when they pulled onto the roadway. The pickup truck ended up in a ditch a short distance off the pavement after the initial crash. Police did not mention any other injuries or vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Plattsmouth is located roughly 19 miles south of downtown Omaha.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
