On or about Thursday, August 26th, 2021, around 4:30 in the morning, an accident between a box truck, a tanker truck, multiple cars and a pedestrian claimed the life of a 67-year-old man and his dog. Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of Penn Avenue and Robeson Street in Robesonia, Pennsylvania.
Police from the area said 67-year-old Robert Hatt was killed when he and his dog were allegedly struck by a box truck a car, and a tanker truck that left the scene of the accident. Emergency responders pronounced Hatt dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary report.
According to Google Maps, Robesonia is about 67 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Police are still investigating the accident.
