Details:
On or about Thursday, November 5th, 2020, around 6:25 in the morning, an accident between a pickup, a dump truck, and a car left a 53-year-old man dead. Investigators said the accident happened on the northbound side of Main Street in The Colony, Texas.
Authorities said 53-year-old Robert Holt was killed when the pickup truck he was driving allegedly crossed the center line of Main Street when it hit a Honda Accord and a dump truck. Holt was pronounced dead of his injuries a short time after the collision. First responders transported the driver of the Accord to a nearby hospital with various injuries.
Looking at Main Street on Google Maps shows it is six lanes, with a curbed median dividing north and southbound traffic. The Colony is located about 29 miles north of downtown Dallas.
Police hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
