On or about Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, a serious hit-and-run car accident claimed the life of a 75-year-old man. Representatives from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported in the 900 block of Point Blank Drive in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said 74-year-old Robert Yost was killed when he was allegedly hit by a pickup truck as he was walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Point Blank Drive. After the initial accident, the offending vehicle fled the scene. Emergency responders pronounced Yost dead of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Point Blank Drive is on the northwest side of Houston.
Officials are still working to pin down the circumstances surrounding the accident.
