On or about Saturday, March 13th, 2021, around 2:13 in the morning, a hit-and-run accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer left a 46-year-old woman dead. Law enforcement sources said the accident happened along Campus Drive near Sunset Road in Burlington Township, New Jersey.
Investigators said 46-year-old Rochelle Ritter was killed when she was allegedly struck by an 18-wheeler or a box truck that subsequently fled the scene of the incident. Paramedics pronounced Ritter dead of her injuries a short time after they responded to the scene of the accident.
Authorities did not release a make, model, or color of the commercial truck they are looking for.
New Jersey State Police is assisting local officials with the accident investigation at this time.
