On or about Tuesday, February 15th, 2022, around 9:40 in the morning, an accident between two box trucks and a pedestrian left a Ronkonkoma man dead. Officials from the NYPD said the accident was reported in the parking lot of a business on South Research Place in Central Islip, New York.
Law enforcement representatives said 45-year-old Rolando Padillacanales was killed when he was allegedly pinned between two box trucks in a parking lot. Emergency responders rushed Padillacanales to nearby South Shore University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time after his arrival. Police identified the driver of the other box truck as Francisco Ramos, who was unhurt in the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 45 miles east of downtown New York City.
Investigators are still trying to determine what happened in the accident.
