Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 9th, 2021, a hit-and-run accident with a box truck claimed the life of a 48-year-old tow truck driver. Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened on the westbound side of the 215 Beltway in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Authorities said 48-year-old Ryan Billotte was killed when he was allegedly hit by a box truck or a panel van that subsequently fled the scene as he was working on the shoulder of the roadway. The offending vehicle subsequently fled the scene. Paramedics rushed Billotte to a nearby hospital where he died of his injuries a short time after his arrival.
Police are currently trying to track down a box truck or a Ford Econoline panel van in connection with the accident.
Multiple agencies are investigating the accident.
