Details:
On or about Sunday, December 5th, 2021, around 2:30 in the morning, a five-vehicle accident accident with multiple alleged drunk drivers claimed the lives of a 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman. Deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the southbound side of North Central Expressway near Fitzhugh in Dallas, Texas.
Authorities said 31-year-old Sergio Moriel and 27-year-old Melissa Aguilar were killed when five vehicles collided in a chain-reaction accident on North Central Expressway (Highway 75) near Fitzhugh. Officials said Grayson Tsai Meu Chong’s vehicle was disabled when it was hit by another car, setting off a sequence of events that would ensnare Moirel and Aguilar’s vehicle. Emergency responders pronounced Moriel and Aguilar dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
Police have since charged Marsalis Brown with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the collision. Chong and another driver were cited for DWI following the accident.
Officials are still investigating.
