On or about Tuesday, October 20th, 2020, around 8:23 in the morning, a three vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer left six people injuries. The accident happened on the westbound onramp from Naves Crossroad to Interstate 68 in Cumberland, Maryland.
State Troopers indicated that six as-of-yet individuals were hurt when an 18-wheeler, an SUV, and a tractor-trailer collided in a chain-reaction accident, and that the victims were transported to area hospitals with unspecified injuries.
Inspecting the location of the accident on Google Streetview shows that the onramp to westbound I-68 is a single, curved lane, with a metal barrier off the right side of the roadway. Cumberland is located about 67 miles west of Hagerstown.
Deputies from the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene of the accident, which is still under investigation.
