On or about Friday, April 22nd, 2022, a major accident with a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle left a 20-year-old man with an amputated leg. Authorities from the EPPD said the accident was reported along Lee Trevino Drive in El Paso, Texas.
Spokespeople from the El Paso Police Department 20-year-old Stephen James Sims was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was on was allegedly hit by a passenger vehicle driven by Lorenzo Hernandez. Authorities said Sims’ leg was amputated during the accident.
Officials have since stated Hernandez may have failed to yield before the collision.
