On or about Thursday, June 24th, 2021, around 9:45 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and a farm tractor left a 37-year-old woman dead. Deputies from the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Highway 67 near the intersection with Elnora Trail in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Investigators said 37-year-old Tammy Lane was killed when her Ford Escape allegedly struck the back of a farm tractor that was driving in the northbound lanes of Highway 67. Emergency responders pronounced Lane dead of her injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the collision. Officials did not mention any other injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 67 runs north and south through Pocahontas, which is located about 143 miles northeast of Little Rock.
Arkansas State Police and Randolph County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted at the scene of the accident.
