On or about Thursday, January 21st, 2021, around Thursday, January 21st, 2021, around 6:07 in the evening, an accident between a teenage cyclist and a tanker truck sent one person to the hospital. Local police said the accident happened along East Pike Road in Old Washington, Ohio.
Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said a 14-year-old boy was critically injured when he was allegedly hit by a tanker truck while riding his bike on East Pike Road. Emergency responders rushed the teen to a nearby hospital in order to be treated for serious injuries.
Google Maps shows Old Washington is situated roughly 88 miles east of Columbus, Ohio.
Authorities are still examining the cause of the accident.
