Details:
On or about Thursday, October 5th, around 5:00 in the afternoon, a tractor-trailer rollover accident with another vehicle sent a teenager to the hospital with serious injuries. The accident happened in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 near the exchange with University Drive in Denton, Texas.
Law enforcement spokespeople said that an as-of-yet unidentified 16-year-old male was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly rolled on top of the Dodge Challenger they were driving in the northbound lanes. First responders took nearly an hour to free the victim from the wreckage before they were rushed to nearby hospital for treatment.
A closer look at the scene of the accident on Google Streetview shows that I-35 is three lanes on the northbound side, with a concrete barrier dividing north and southbound traffic. Denton is located roughly 40 miles northwest of Dallas.
Texas DPS Troopers assisted at the scene of the accident, which is still under investigation.
