Details:
On or about Wednesday, October 20th, 2021, around 7:00 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 32-year-old man. Troopers from the KHP said the accident was reported at or near the intersection of State Highway 254 and 127th Street in Wichita, Kansas.
Investigators said 32-year-old Terry Echols Jr was killed when the car he was driving allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that had either slowed or stopped in traffic. Echols Jr died of his injuries a short time after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Highway 254 and 127th Street is on the far northeast side of Wichita.
Officials are still investigating.
