On or about Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, around 7:30 in the morning, an accident between a school bus and a passenger vehicle left a woman and two children injured. Officials from the area said the accident was reported along Newtown Road in Groton, Connecticut.
Police said an as-of-yet unidentified woman and two children were injured when a school bus allegedly struck the back of a car that had slowed to make a turn off Newtown Road. Paramedics transported the woman driving the car and her young passenger, as well as one student on the school bus to the hospital with unspecified injuries following the accident.
According to Google Maps, Groton is about 53 miles south of downtown Hartford.
Multiple agencies are investigating the incident.
