Details:
On or about Sunday, December 5th, 2021, around 5:42 in the evening, an accident between three tractor-trailers sent three individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the MSHP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 44 in Lawrence County, Missouri.
Troopers from the Missouri State Highway Patrol said 31-year-old Ravinder Singh, 36-year-old Jason Pontius, and 59-year-old Robert Forehand were injured when the tractor-trailer Singh was driving allegedly rear-ended Pontius’ 18-wheeler, pushing it into the rear of Forehands semi truck. Paramedics transported Singh, Pontius and Forehand to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity stemming from the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 44 cuts east and west through Lawrence County, which is about 35 miles west of downtown Springfield.
Police are still investigating the accident.
