Details:
On or about Saturday, August 28th, 2021, around 4:20 in the afternoon, an accident between four tractor-trailers sent three men to the hospital. Troopers from the TSP said the accident occurred along the southbound side of Interstate 81 in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Officials from the Tennessee State Police said 50-year-old Robert Kimutai Langat, 58-year-old old Felix E. Dalmau-Llanos, and 53-year-old Kevin Carlton were injured when four tractor-trailers collided in a chain-reaction accident on I-81. Langat, Dalmau-Llanos, and Carlton suffered unspecified injuries after the accident. The driver of the fourth tractor-trailer, identified as 53-year-old Kevin Carlton, was uninjured in the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 81 runs north and south through Kingsport, which is seated on the Virginia state line.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
