On or about Wednesday, June 9th, 2021, around 10:30 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer left a 67-year-old man dead. Police said the accident was reported at the intersection of Beaver Road and Chili Scottsville Road in Chili, New York.
Officials said 67-year-old Tome Srbinovski was killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly failed to yield to a flashing red light at the intersection and struck his car. Emergency responders pronounced Srbinovski dead of his injuries a short time after they arrived at the scene of the accident. No other injuries were reported following the incident.
Police have since cited the driver of the tractor-trailer for failure to stop in connection with the accident.
According to Google Maps, Chili is situated a short distance southwest of Rochester.
Police are still investigating the accident.
