On or about Friday, September 24th, 2021, an accident between a pickup truck, a dump truck and a highway sign sent two people to the hospital. Investigators from the the NOPD said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 10 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Local law enforcement officials said a dump truck allegedly lost control in the westbound lanes of I-10 when it struck a highway sign, causing the sign to crash onto a nearby pickup truck. Emergency responders transported two people in the pickup truck to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 runs east and west through New Orleans, with the scene of the accident on the west side of town.
Police are still investigating.
