On or about Monday, May 9th, 2022, around 2:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a dump truck and three other vehicles sent two people to the hospital. Troopers from the WVHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Route 33 and Brushy Fork in Buckhannon, West Virginia.
Deputies from the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a dump truck allegedly slammed into the back of a Subaru Outback, a Kia Optima, and a Ford Explorer that were stopped or slowed in traffic. Paramedics transported two people from the scene to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries, but officials did not specify which vehicle or vehicles the victims were in at the time of the collision.
According to Google Maps, Route 33 cuts east and west through Buckhannon.
Police are still investigating the cause of the collision.
